I’m here to tell you about the latest addition to my medium format lens arsenal, the Hartblei 45mm f/3.5 Super-Rotator, and in addition to singing its praises, to soundly affirm its many strengths. The odd Zenit occasionally seen on the second-hand shelves at camera shops did nothing to refute this perception.īut that was then and this is now, (to coin a phrase). Since I’ve had little exposure to such products, over the years I have simply taken such comments at face value. One bit of so called common wisdom has been that Soviet made cameras and lenses were cheap and poorly made. However, they don't have any in stock right now.The problem with common wisdom, is that it’s often too common and rarely wise enough. I checked with Hartblei as they were my first choice and they do make the P6-M645 adapter. I have not managed to find one yet for mamiya It fits and feels that good that it does not feel like you have an adapter on there

They did make them for mamiya+contax+pentax 645 I have this adapter for P6>Canon EOS made by Hartblei this is really well made and finished It seems pretty strong though and i do swap it between lenses lots The one i have is from Roxen ,its made from aluminium though the ad says 'hard wearing bronze' this has not been a problem I know that brass has a higher ultimate tensile strength, so I think that would be better than al. Interesting Roxen is the only one who i supplying brass adapters instead of conventional aluminum. I know Roxen on eslay has them and I have never had a bad adapter of any type from them. There are quite a few of Chinese sellers selling the P6-M645 adapter. I had to use a strap wrench to remove the adapter from my Biometar.not going back to that one. I've used one P6-M645 adapter I got on fleabay, the seller was from Ukraine, never had problems with Sonnar and M645 1000s.īruce: which seller did you get the adapter from? I want to avoid the Ukrainian one.I got my Pentax 645-P6 adapter from him and that is the source of all my pain. Other than that initial problem it works well Hi Avi, I use the P6 M645 mount on a 180 sonnar an arsat 80mm and a hartblei 45mm super rotator, the mount fits well onto the lenses and is easy to remove when you want to ,the problem i have had is that it does not fit onto a mamiya 645 e without some modification, i had to file some of the knurling on the locking ring away to make it fit I would appreciate opinions of folks who have used these lenses with their Mamiya M645. I have been quite happy with the P6-Nikon DSLR adapters (also bought from fleabay) and never faced any issues even with the heavy Sonnar.

I plan to use the adapter with my 80mm Biometar and the 180 Sonnar. There is only one seller who makes that adapter and I hate to trash it and the seller, but it is terrible and you can end up damaging the lens mount. I ask because I had a pretty bad experience with the P6-Pentax 645 one where the adapter is now firmly attached to the lens and is very difficult for me to remove (basically the flange that mates with the lens is made from thin aluminum that gets bent out of shape). I am looking for user opinions on the P6-M645 adapter that is widely available on fleabay.
